इस प्रसंग में जब जब श्री कृष्ण गोकुल छोड़कर मथुरा चले गए एवं लोक कल्याणकारी कार्यों में व्यस्त हो गए फिर भी उन्हें गोकुल की याद और चिंता सताती थी । गोपियों बिरह से वह भलीभांति परिचित थे इसीलिए उन्होंने अपने परम मित्र उद्धव जी को संदेश वाहक बना कर गोकुल भेजा।
व्याख्या - उद्धव जी की योग एवं ज्ञान की बातें सुनकर उनको संबोधित करते हुए गोपियां कहतीं हैं कि हे उद्धव तुम तो हो बहुत भाग्यशाली हो जिसने प्रेम रूपी धागे को छुआ तक नहीं है। अर्थात गोपियां उद्धव जी से व्यंग्य का प्रयोग करके कहती हैं कि हे उद्धव तुम तो बहुत ही अभागे हो प्रकार कमल के पत्ते पानी में रहकर भी उन पर दाग नहीं लगा है ठीक उसी प्रकार तुम भी श्री कृष्ण के पास रहते हुए भी उनसे प्रेम नहीं करते हो । अथवा जिस प्रकार तेल युक्त घड़ा पानी में डालने पर जल की एक बूंद भी उस पर नहीं ठहरती उसी प्रकार तुम भी श्री कृष्ण के पास रहते हुए भी उनसे प्रेम नहीं करते सदैव उनके प्रेम से मुक्त रहते हो । आगे गोपिया कहतीं हैं कि आज तक कभी भी तुमने प्रेम रूपी नदी में अपना पैर तक नहीं डुबोया और किसी का रूप देखकर तुम्हारी दृष्टि मोहित नहीं हुई।
गोपियां कहतीं हैं कि हम भोली भाली अबला हैं जिस प्रकार गुड़ के चीटियां लिपट जाती है उसी प्रकार हम भी श्री कृष्ण के प्रेम में लिपटे हुए हैं।
विशेष -
1. इस पद में गोपियां उद्धव जी को चतुर एवं प्रेम हीन होने की उलाहना देते हुए स्वयं को भोली-भाली अबला बताती हैं।
2. ब्रज भाषा में भावाभिव्यक्ति सहज एवं सरल है।
3. अनुप्रास उत्प्रेक्षा उपमा एवं रूपक अलंकारों का प्रयोग हुआ है।
context - - This verse is quoted from 'Bhramargeet' Prasang' of 'Sursagar' composed by 'Surdas', the great poet of 'Krishna Bhakti Dhara'.In this context, when Shri Krishna left Gokul and went to Mathura and got busy in public welfare works, still he used to remember and worry about Gokul.He was well-acquainted with the separation of gopis, that is why he sent his best friend Uddhavji to Gokul as a messenger.
explanation - After listening to Uddhav ji's words of yoga and knowledge, while addressing him, the Gopis say that O Uddhav, you are very fortunate who have not even touched the thread of love. That is, the gopis tell Uddhav ji using sarcasm that O Uddhav, you are very unfortunate, just like the lotus leaves do not get stained even after being in water, similarly you also do not love Shri Krishna even when you are near him.
Or just as when a pot containing oil is put in water, not even a drop of water stays on it, in the same way you do not love Shri Krishna even though you are near him, you are always free from his love.
Further Gopia says that till date you have never even dipped your feet in the river of love and your vision has not been fascinated by seeing someone's form.
Gopis say that we are innocent and innocent, just as ants are wrapped in jaggery, in the same way we are also wrapped in the love of Shri Krishna.
